Speaking instead of active antennas, these are available in different configurations (GPS, GLONASS, BEIDOU, GALILEO) in which compared to the passive antenna, in addition to the antenna element, there is also an LNA amplifier circuit and a power supply circuit. With this combination, the satellite signal is received, amplified and filtered from background noise, providing high gain, low disturbance factor and low power consumption.
Mounting to the target surface can be adhesive or magnet.
